Do We Still Need Libraries?

In 2015 the libraries of University of Wisconsin-Madison published that 266,073 research guides were viewed along with 3225,555 items checked out. But when you ask students of UW-Madison, most of them utilize the 40 libraries on campus as a place to study without checking out a single book. The digital age of information is upon us and it seems like the norm is to google information instead of asking you local library for material on the subject. With New York Times and Forbes publishing articles questioning “Do We Still Need Libraries?,” I looked into how students, librarians and faculty of Madison would answer that question.
